Q1. Who is a 'Youth Leader' at WYLF?

A Youth Leader is a registered member who is undertaking/or wishes to undertake a development project, related to any one of the Millennium Development Goals. He/she could seek support in terms of project development, knowledge & resources. Only a Youth Leader can post his/her project in the Project section for seeking additional resources for support. The project submitted by a Youth Leader should be a new or ongoing project and not a completed one.

Q2. Who is a 'Visitor' at WYLF?

A Visitor is a registered member who only wishes to view & download articles, research projects and other resource material related to Millennium Development Goals. A Visitor cannot submit any article, research work or project.

Q3. Who is a 'Subject Matter Expert' at WYLF?

A Subject Matter Expert is a registered member who should be a holder of a Masters/Doctorate degree in the relevant field, and/or have worked on a research topic or an article report, related to Millennium Development Goals. His/her research or article need not have been published. Only a Subject Matter Expert can post his/her article/research project on the relevant MDG resource page.

Q4. Who is a 'Mentor' at WYLF?

A Mentor is a registered member who wishes to contribute towards fulfilling the requirements of a development project of a Youth Leader. He can guide a Youth Leader over his/her development project, and can also provide manpower or material inputs to help him/her complete his/her project.

Mentor can also be a member who guides the course of action for several Youth Leaders in a particular region, and urge them take up development projects focusing on a particular MDG.

Q5. What is 'Project Management'?

Project Management is an exclusive section which is open only to Youth Leaders. They can post and edit their project details using the 'Project Management' section after logging in.

Q6. What is a development project?

A development project is an initiative undertaken by a Youth Leader at a community, district, state or national level. The project should be aimed at meeting any one of the eight Millennium Development Goals. A Youth Leader can post his project on the WYLF website, and seek for additional support, in terms of knowledge sharing, manpower or resources. For example, a project could be setting up a water turbine in a village to generate electricity for the entire village.

Q7. Who can submit development projects for support?

Only Youth Leaders can submit development projects for support. Once the project is submitted, Mentors at WYLF can view project details and choose to provide required support to any project.

Q8. What kind of support can be provided for development projects to Youth Leaders?

Youth Leaders can seek support in terms of
  1.    Knowledge input
  2.    Manpower
  3.    Tools & equipments

Q9. Who can donate?

Only those who have registered as Mentors with WYLF can donate, to provide financial support for development projects undertaken by Youth Leaders.

Q10. How can Mentors contribute?

Mentors can contribute in a significant manner towards meeting the goals of development projects undertaken by Youth Leaders. Mentors can share knowledge on the particular subject, and can also fund for resources required by the Youth Leader for his/her project.

Q11. Who can submit articles, researches and tools?

Only Subject Matter Experts can submit articles, researches and tools.

Q12. On which topics should articles, research work or tools be based on?

If you wish to submit any article, research work or tool to WYLF, it should be based on any one or more of the eight Millennium Development Goals.
